P003 → Shifting immortals

This installation delves into themes of identity, memory, and transformation, weaving together various elements that symbolize the fluid and cyclical nature of existence. Central to the work are materials like aluminium and bronze, which embody both permanence and change. These materials are shaped into forms such as furniture inspired by outdoor exedra benches, designed to foster dialogue and communal reflection.
By creating spaces for interaction and contemplation, the installation invites viewers to engage with the processes of mourning, renewal, and identity reconstruction. It challenges fixed definitions and societal norms, particularly in relation to queer experiences, highlighting the continuous evolution of personal and collective identities.
The installation also incorporates subtle references to historical and cultural practices, questioning who is remembered and how memory is preserved. Through these diverse components, the work offers a space to reflect on the intersections of life, death, and the possibilities for growth and reinvention, encouraging a broader conversation about the ever-changing nature of identity.
